Dear Sir/Madam,

I have received your contact from the representatives of the Erasmus+ Office of BiH in Sarajevo.

I am writing to you from the International Relations Office (IRO) of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) (www.ius.edu.ba).

I would like to introduce our university and to discuss possible collaboration between IUS and the universities/institutions from Greece under the Erasmus+ program.

International University of Sarajevo was founded by the Foundation for Education Development Sarajevo (SEDEF) in 2003. In 2014 IUS became nationally accredited higher education institution with the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HEA). Moreover, from 2014 IUS joined a large family of European universities by becoming a member of European University Association (EUA). In 2014/2015 academic year, at 14 study programs that IUS offers at three of its faculties, more than 1800 students have enrolled from 40 different countries of the world. The academic staff of IUS is made up of young people with significant international experience and scientific references. Since its establishment, IUS has achieved considerable success in improving the educational, scientific and cultural cooperation through protocols signed with universities from all over the world.

IUS, as an educational institution in the Bosnia and Herzegovina has the right to participate in the Erasmus+ just as Partner country, which has limited rights. One of the ways how we could access the Erasmus+ program is joining the projects with partner countries. Taking into consideration that educational institutions from your country are taking active role in Erasmus+ projects, we would like to ask you to become part of some of your future projects within Erasmus+ program. Related to this, we would like to ask you to share with us your ideas and recommend about future potential partners from your country.
