InnovCrete announces:

 

A MINI WORKSHOP on research funding opportunities

A HANDS-ON TRAINING course on the preparation of Horizon 2020 proposals

 

A high priority among the missions of the IMBB/FORTH InnovCrete project (FP7-Regpot) is the dissemination to the scientific community of Crete of clear, structured and concise information regarding the complex structure of national and European Union research funding opportunities.  Through a series of seminars and training courses, InnovCrete will present highly technical information regarding EU policies, funding opportunities and programmes in a streamlined and simplified manner. To this end, two hands-on training courses are planned for 2014 and 2015 on Horizon2020 proposal/project development (comprehensive training guides through all procedures of project development from call identification to proposal submission, including budget), followed by a “simulation” of proposal evaluation.

 The 2014 Horizon 2020 training course will be preceded by a mini-workshop on “Financial Instruments for Research Funding 2014-2020” on March 31^st, 2014, 10:30-14:00 h at the STEP-C building, room 211 (1^st floor, Building A).

The 2014 Horizon 2020 hand-on training course is a 2-day event which will take place on May 6^th/7^th, 2014. The instructors include experts of Europa Media, a leading training provider for EU programmes in Europe.

 The mini-workshop of March 31^st  and the training course of May 6^th/7^th will be open to all scientists of the local scientific community (PIs, post-docs etc), however to participate in the Horizon 2020 hands-on training sessions, you must:

a)      Participate in the March 31^st mini workshop

b)      Complete and return to us the attached Registration Form, before Friday, March 28^th, 2014. Because the number of the participants to the training sessions is limited to 25, it is highly recommended that you send back the completed form a.s.a.p.
